Puppy Happy~

What a morning!  Woke up early after a fantastic night’s sleep (which doesn’t happen very often, so I’ll TAKE IT!), performed all of my domestic duties, which included fixing breakfast, making lunches, making beds and feeding the puppy….which reminds me, did I mention we got a puppy over thenew year?

This is Cali…she’s 7 weeks old here and she’s the sweetest little Labrador EVER!
She was the “runt” of the litter, so she was about a third of the size of the other puppies.  She’s missing most of her tail due to a complication at birth but I’m telling you, she is the spunkiest little thing you’ve ever seen!
Which brings me to my topic today…how do pet owners keep their homes from looking like a vet office?  I’m on the hunt for cute pet items that won’t trashie-up my house.  Here’s what I found from  The Sassy Pup:

at $790, it had better clean up the poop as well…must find something less expensive.
Maybe my upholstery guy can help me here…

Cute little doggie blankets that I’m fairly certain I can make

Love these because they’re collapsible which make them great for traveling with and, well let’s face it, Turquoise is my favorite.

Ok, I promise I’m not one of those “dog people” who dresses their dogs as children, but a girl’s gotta have just a touch of bling, even if she is a dog, right?
Love these little tags too!!
Ok, well these may not be the most budget conscious items, but now that I know what I like, I know what to keep my eyes open for when I’m out and about.
In the mean time, I’ll be working on training commands and teaching her how to run the lake with me.  SO exciting to have a running partner…as soon as her little legs grow into my stride!
And remember:

  1. that is the most adorable picture of that pup! the runts of the litter are always the cutest :) thanks for stopping by my blog too! i guess texas is way ahead of the fashion world on denim. even bleach blotched/acid washed denim? i picture people wearing matching blue denim on denim with cowboy boots or is that just a stereotype? i've never been so i'm totally clueless!

  2. Renee :

Oh trust me, the denim in your photo was much more progressive! Your stereo type isn't far off although there are just as many stylish people as there are farmers and cowboys, so I guess it works itself out. =)

  3. oh what fun!! We have a golden, going to be 5 in a few weeks and he is so great.

I'm on the hunt for a cute doggie bed, too – ours is too worn out…perhaps I'll try some of my amateur sewing skills recovering the one we have!?

Thanks for stopping by my site, look forward to seeing more of yours!

    Happy Wednesday ~
