I have to get something off my chest and I need you to promise you’ll love me in spite of it…I am a total disorganized mess right now! I am seriously, so overwhelmed with Christmas shopping, holiday decorating for clients, parties, kitchen remodels and trying to keep my books in order that I have dropped probably 6 other balls that I’m supposed to be juggling. Bad designer, bad!
I’m totally embarrassed to admit that this photo is not much different from what my real office looks like right now, even as I sit in the middle of the mess writing this:
The reason I used this photo instead of one of my own is because Tina Fey is my hero and if she can work under such conditions….who am I kidding…I’m NOT Tina Fey and there is no hope for me in this environment.
I have however, come to a gripping realization that my chronic state of disorganization has a cure, if I can only implement it a.s.a.p.
Here it is:
Notice how clean and organized it is…no paper work is strewn about, piled upon the pile of bills that I can never find. NO! Everything is beautifully lined up and I’m sure inside those perfect little filing drawers, there are tabs that are labeled with the precise lettering that only a quality Brother label maker could produce…no hand written labels here, my friend. Oh no…not here.
My New Year resolution is, for the first time in my life, identified before December 31st (yeah! I’m ahead already!). Operation Office Remodel Project kicks off as soon as the kitchen is finished…let’s hope thats SOONER than later…I’m drowning here!
