“A Picture is a Poem without Words”, Horace

Abstract art…what  can I say, I’m a fan!  I love artists who give us a tiny glimps through the telescope of their imagination, but leave the interpretation open.

I absolutely adore mixing really contemporary art with super traditional decor, breathing fresh air into, what could easily be a stale design.

Some of us, if we’re lucky, can afford to surround ourselves with beautiful original artwork.  I’ve always been a proponent of finding up and coming artists, which is an affordable way to build a great collection while promoting young talent. Everybody wins!

I recently discovered Natalia Barabas, a Russian artist who lives in Paris on Etsy.
As I stated in my opening sentence, I’m a fan!

P.S. Welcome Elise, Notes From the Grove (my#4 friend) and Emma Alison Designs (one of my new favorite jewelry designers…see her leaf necklaces below).

I think your 4 year old would like where the wild things are. Theres definitely stuff i dont think theyd understand (I think theres probably stuff i even missed!) – but the characters dont come across as scary and hes definitely on a fun adventure.
